The BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) is an independent, not-for-profit educational foundation dedicated to increasing the public awareness, interest and understanding of science and technology through three sections, each approaching science in a different manner that is relatively unconventional to the Egyptian community:

  1. The Planetarium offers a diversity of fascinating scientific shows that are both entertaining and informative; the shows also cover a wide range of age groups.
  1. The History of Science Museum covers the highlights of the historical aspect of science in Egypt during the Pharaonic and Hellenistic eras, as well as the golden age of the Arab Islamic world.
  1. The ALEXploratorium is a hands-on science facility dedicated to making science accessible and interesting to the public through innovative and interactive activities that explain scientific facts and demonstrate their presence in everything we see, hear, or touch in our daily life.

The PSC is dedicated to stimulate and cultivate awareness, interest, and understanding of science for all visitors of the Center through fine-designed and exciting educational programs and exhibits, and to be a regional resource and a national model for informal science education. It simplifies and communicates the principles of science to a wider public, emphasizing on school and university students.

The Center is building an experienced team, optimally utilizing the areas of expertise of its local resources. Since its inauguration in 2002, the PSC has been keen to continuously develop its human resources and infra-structure. For the past twelve years, the PSC staff has received various trainings on the national and international levels to operate the PSC complex and to develop and produce informal education tools and programs.

The PSC is an ideal place to enjoy a day of fun learning.
