Biography:

Graduated from Alexandria University, Faculty of Engineering in July 2007. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Communications and Electronics Section).
Started my carrier as Interactive Exhibits Designer at the PSC in February 2008. In May 2013, I started my new position as Head of Design Unit at the PSC.

I attended three main training in the field of building interactive exhibits:
-Advanced Scientific Exhibition Training at Hüttinger Company, Germany (June 2009)
-Science Center Academy Training by Technopolis at the BA (February 2010)
-Advanced Exhibit Development Workshop at Hüttinger Company, Germany (July 2017)

I had worked in the design and implementation of many projects like:
-ALEXploratorium Renovation Projects (2010, 2013 and 2016)
-Alphabet of the Universe Exhibition (in cooperation with CERN) (January 2014)
-Family Park Science Center, (July 2010 – September 2015)
-Mini ALEXploratorium Interactive Exhibition and participated in Genoa Science Festival, Italy (November 2012)

Interested in Robotics and Electronics, so I worked as coach, Judge and instructor in this field. Participated in in First Lego League (FLL) International Open Competition (May 2009, Copenhagen, Denmark) as the coach of the Egyptian team.

From Sketch to Reality

At the Planetarium Science Center (PSC), we are working on what makes learning fun; building an interactive exhibit is a new challenge every time. The Design and Fabrication Section (DFS) has been working on creating interactive exhibits and exhibitions since 2008; our approach to implementing interactivity is “from Sketch to Reality”.
This approach includes many processes to generate a product, starting with the idea and preparing the general specifications, to building the prototype of the product. Then, we go through an open discussion to get inputs from our team members, which gives the technical specifications of the prototype. After that, we can start the drawings (Sketch), and moving on to the implementation process (Reality).
