Bio:

Sarai Melina Lenzberger studied Applied Cultural Sciences and Project Management. She works as project assistant at Frida & freD children’s museum Graz, Austria and is the executive assistant of Hands On! International Association of Children in Museums.  With our programmes, we hope to enable children to learn about the world’s diversity and to better understand its complexities. Along with the contents of our museum, we focus on making sure that the young people who visit us develop into confident and responsible citizens who interact carefully with their fellow human beings and their environment.

Abstract:

We all know children this age; some of us have children this age; some of us work with children this age; but what do we know about them?

To design exhibitions for very young children means to be careful with the topic and especially with the realization. Of course, it is very important to find the right topic for this target group, but it is even more important to find the right way to present it. Curating an exhibition for children in our target group means to reflect about their skills and their needs.
