Bio:

Principle Researcher at the Science Studio -  Educational Research and Development Programme –A.M. Qattan Foundation. B.Sc. in Biology and Medical Technology, an MA in Science Education. Member of the Advisory Board for the College of Education at Birzeit University and the International Advisory Board for the Hands-on Science International Conference. She leads the educational programme at  the Science Studio with an experience in empowerment programmes, science festivals and designing interactive science learning opportunities and environments. She has a good experience in designing and implementing collaborative art science events and projects with the public, locally and abroad. She is a Tinkerer, maker and self taught artists and masters many skills and crafts. She works in upcycling and promotes it as an intersection between environmental education, art and educational sustainability. She established Karkasheh as an Arabic term for tinkering in an endeavor to bring in the aspects of learning through tinkering and art into local communities. She also works in exhibit design and fabrication. Her research is diverse and multidisciplinary and is related to her fields of work with contributions in conferences and publications.
