LOGICAMENTE-Enabling Innovation in Formal Education

Città della Scienza is running a National program supported by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research which aims to renew science education both in the context of science centre than in the classrooms with the support of hands-on exhibits, collaborative workshops and interactive app. With this commitment, the Italian Ministry of Education wants to respond to the problems in science education for Italian students, and especially of Southern regions, that emerged in international and national surveys conducted in our schools (PISA).

This ambitious program involves inpartnership with other two museums (Milan and Florence) a National network of 25schools with innovative methods and instruments for the teaching of mathematicsand science: a) implementation of educational program in secondary school, oriented to the improvement of logical-mathematical and scientific skills; b) development of exhibition islands in order to establish a meaningful connection between formaland non-formal education; c) development of training modules for in-service teachers.
