Biography:

Axel is the son of the present owner of Hüttinger Exhibition Engineering. From the age of 15 he worked on construction sites carrying out electrical installation work. After graduating from secondary school, he worked full-time for one year at trade fairs for the automobile industry world-wide. He was responsible for the handling and installation of highly complex functional exhibits for a long-term customer. At the beginning of his university studies, he worked in the design department on interactive exhibits for several museum projects. Since spring 1998, he has worked for the company full-time. Together with his brother Jörg, Axel became managing director of Hüttinger Exhibition Engineering in 2002.

Axel is very familiar with science and technology; he studied mechanical engineering with the focus on environmental engineering. He has lived and worked for substantial periods in the English speaking world, including one semester at Arizona State University. Within the last years he has worked extensively in the UK, Asia and Middle East.
