SPARK FOR INNOVATION & CREATIVITY (SPARK) is a Palestinian non-governmental organization established in 2018 and officially registered in January 2019. SPARK operates independently, focusing on education, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, culture, and heritage. Through its interventions, SPARK cultivates creativity and innovation, aiming to instill core values within the community. It envisions a thriving society where everyone has access to the necessary tools to launch new ideas and create innovative opportunities. SPARK recognizes the crucial role of creativity and innovation in addressing the needs of Palestinian youth and adolescents, providing them with opportunities for self-development.
Activities
At Spark, we offer a diverse range of activities designed to empower youth and foster innovation. Our key programs include:
- We Are Makers:
Hands-on learning through rapid prototyping, to build technical skills and create a personal portfolio of accomplishments.
- Youth Lead Future:
Equipping youth with skills to actively participate in community change and development.
- STEM IN MAKERSPACE:
Utilizing STEM methodologies to develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Women in STEM:
Empowering young girls in STEM fields to bridge the gender gap.
- Digital Creative Content:
Teaching production of interactive online media and essential entrepreneurial skills.
Services
Spark provides three primary services:
1- Makerspace for Interactive Education:
This initiative delivers diverse educational offerings, including 21st-century skills, STEAM education, and project-based learning, fostering interdisciplinary connections within academic subjects.
2- Digitalization & Inclusion:
Focused on equitable technology access, this program offers workshops covering various internet-related topics in a secure environment, ensuring youth and adolescents can effectively leverage digital tools.
3- Culture & Arts Program:
Highlighting Palestinian culture's significance to identity, this program promotes cultural preservation and innovation, integrating culture and heritage to foster a vibrant Palestinian cultural landscape.
